Its compression algorithms allow better than VHS quality video and almost CD quality audio to be compressed onto and streamed off a single speed (1x) CD-ROM drive. The official name of MPEG-1 is International Standard IS-11172.

A variant of the MPEG video and audio compression algorithm and file format, optimised for broadcast quality video. MPEG-2 was designed to transmit images using progressive coding at 4 Mbps or higher for use in broadcast digital TV and DVD. An MPEG-2 player can handle MPEG-1 data as well. MPEG-2 has been approved as International Standard IS-13818.

There're mainly three steps to cut MPEG video with Torrent MPEG Video Cutter.
Step 1: Add a MPEG video source
Add a MPEG video from "File Menu/Open".
Or press Ctrl+O to open a video file, it could be MPEG video file.
Step 2: Set start-point and end-point for MPEG video cut
Set start point of the video clip with button 
to fix the start point, (you will see a blue mark on the bar).
And then set the end point by clicking the Set End Point button 
(you can see an orange mark on the bar).
Now the MPEG video segment you want to cut is selected.
Step 3: Cut down MPEG video selection
Click the Cut Down Selection Button 
and a new MPEG video segment is added to the selection list of the MPEG video cutter on the right windows.
Then click the Start button 
to start MPEG video cut.
